For those of you who have kept up with my baseball career, a quick update:
Recently I made the decision to retire from the game of baseball, or more accurately, the game decided to retire from me. After 8 years in professional baseball and 20+ years of playing the game I love it is time to hang them up.
I always knew this day was coming. My career began on a small field in Monroe, La with just my family and teammates watching, and ended in obscurity on a AAA field in Toledo, Ohio in front of unfamiliar faces. It didn’t begin as a “career” though, it started out as just a little boy doing what little boys do, and it ended much the same. In between the beginning and the end was a rollercoaster of a lifetime that I am forever grateful for.
God has been faithful to me. My wife, parents, and sister have sacrificed so much for this dream, and it came true. I’m so grateful to them and to the close friends that have always encouraged me.
I’m excited for whatever is next, and I’m looking forward to attacking the next challenge like I did this one. Thank you again for helping to keep me going!
As for The Journeyman’s Path blog, I will be moving to a random posting schedule instead of a weekly schedule while I figure out what is next for me. Thank you for understanding!
